Aprašymas

The album is dedicated to the work of Professor Albert Gurskas, the patriarch of the Lithuanian school of script and calligraphy. The publication primarily reflects his explorations and recent discoveries in the most intimate field of calligraphy. It briefly discusses the main stages of the artist's creative evolution and the stylistic and formal changes that emerged in them. Closely related to abstract formal structures, musical lines, rhythms, shapes and spatial perception of reality, the artist's calligraphic thinking is distinguished by a subtle sense of harmony. A closer look at Gurskas' expressive calligraphies reveals that feelings and inner experiences are not the main goal that the artist seeks to express in his works, which are characterised by completeness and harmony of artistic form.

The book is intended not only for fine art lovers and artists, but also for cultural people, teachers, teachers, students, and all representatives of the creative intelligentsia interested in the subtleties of calligraphy.

The publication is printed with the funds of the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
