On the 20th of November 2018, the National Museum of Lithuania hosted the conference "Centenary Ethnography 1918-2018", which was dedicated to the retrospective of a century of ethnographic work. The conference focuses on the issues of collecting materials describing Lithuanian culture, the results and perspectives of their use in scientific research. Museologists talk about the work of creating exhibitions on folk culture and enlarging the collection. The topics of the presentations reflect a part of ethnography of the century, but they also allow to assess the theoretical and practical path of ethnography over the century.
