Description
In 2013, commemorating the 90th anniversary of Leonas Žuklys, the Lithuanian National Museum hosted a solo exhibition of the artist, which served as the basis for this publication. The album's structure reflects the artist's multifaceted creativity. The first part of the book, titled "Historical Portraits," presents works immortalizing famous creators, scholars, and public figures. These invaluable documents of iconographic value significantly enrich our gallery of intellectual portraits. The second part, under the conditional title "Thematic Creativity," bears witness to the 20th-century humanity, the values of the nation, and individual choices. Documents reflecting the sculptor's pedagogical activities form a separate strand in the book, illustrating one aspect of his work.
