Numismatics 7-8, Yearbook from 2006-2007

This issue features articles on numismatics from Lithuania and Belarus focusing on coin counterfeiting. It includes publications on coin hoards from the 17th and 20th centuries found during archaeological excavations in Kėdainiai, Gediminas Avenue in Vilnius, and the restoration materials of a coin hoard found on Stuokos-Gucevičius Street in Vilnius. The publication also presents the findings and research results of countermarks stored at the Lithuanian National Museum and showcases awards bestowed upon signatory Kazimieras Bizauskas from Lithuania, Latvia, and Sweden. Two publications are dedicated to exonumia: one on the discovery of a bond from 1831 and archival information about the printing of Lithuanian banknotes in 1938. Additionally, it provides a bibliography of Lithuanian numismatics from 2004 to 2005 and discusses catalogs of Grand Duchy of Lithuania coins published in Belarus and Poland in 2005. The chronicle reviews numismatic events in Lithuania from 2006 to 2007, including anniversaries, exhibitions, conferences, lectures, camps, meetings in Lithuania and abroad.
