The author of the book, Rimutė Rimantienė, is a renowned Lithuanian researcher of the Stone Age. The Lithuanian National Museum is pleased to present readers with a book about the research of Stone Age monuments in Šventoji (5th-3rd millennium BC), which lasted almost 40 years. This material now constitutes a part of the Archaeology Department's gold fund at the National Museum. The Šventoji monuments deserve to be alongside the most important Stone Age monuments of Northern Europe, researched in marshes.
