ISBN 978-609-8039-46-7This book, complementing the publication "Lithuanian Press Ban 1864–1904" released by the Lithuanian National Museum in 2004, is dedicated to all those interested in the history of their country, the difficult struggle of an occupied and enslaved nation for independence and national revival. The basis of the publication is the exhibition held at the Lithuanian National Museum in 2008, commemorating the 145th anniversary of the 1863–1864 uprising. The exhibits are supplemented by documents preserved in the Lithuanian State Historical Archives, which eloquently illustrate the course of the uprising.
