Description

This issue of Ethnography is dedicated to getting familiar with the Upyna Folk Crafts Museum in Šilalė district and its founder, local historian, Klemens Lovčiks.

The issue consists of five chapters. The first one introduces Klemens Lovčikas, a local historian, museum worker, photographer, publicist and certified master of traditional folk crafts. The three main parts are devoted to the Museum of Folk Crafts, which tell the story of the exhibits of the Museum of Folk Crafts in Upyna, present articles published at various times by the founder and promoter of the Museum, Klemens Lovčikas, and introduce the anecdotal accounts regarding the presenter's own region, its people, lifestyles, communication and customs in the 20th century. The fifth chapter contains lists of the presenters and place names of the Upyna region.
